Some very important story developments in episode 3 that turn the story on its head. Despite the traditional genre elements being activated by David Kelley, his treatment of the story has been admirable.
One of the main plot elements of Frank and Bill's 2023 section of The Last of Us episode 3 surrounds Frank's illness. After multiple time jumps, the last one taking place in August 2023, Frank is shown to have developed Parkinson's disease. Frank is shown to be mostly confined to a wheelchair for large sections of his day, with the muscle stiffness that is also brought on by the debilitating disease. Frank also states that his illness was unable to be cured before the outbreak, meaning that finding a doctor as Bill suggests would be useless in the post-apocalyptic, fungi Cordyceps-ridden Last of Us world.
At the end of Bill and Frank's story, Frank insists on spending one last perfect day with Bill before crushing up his pills and putting them in his wine so that he can die peacefully, on his own terms. This is likely in response to his illness, which tragically removes many aspects of his former health. In a surprise twist, especially for players of The Last of Us game, Bill reveals he put Frank's pills in the bottle of wine both of them shared, meaning Bill will meet the same fate as Frank.
When concerning Joel and Ellie's story, one of the bigger elements that will come into play in the show's future is Ellie taking Frank's gun in The Last of Us. While Nick Offerman's Bill was shown to keep many weapons in his bunker, The Last of Us episode 3 showed a raider group attacking Lincoln and highlighted Frank's gun he kept in a drawer. At the end of the episode, after Joel and Ellie find out what happened to Bill and Frank, Ellie finds this gun and takes it without Joel's knowledge or consent.
Stranger Things Season 4's \"Chapter Three: The Monster and the Superhero\" shows the kids in their element: El (Millie Bobby Brown) is taking the fate of the world in her hands yet again, Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Steve (Joe Keery), and the gang are teaming up to figure out how the hell to take down a slimy dark wizard monster, and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) and Argyle (Eduardo Franco) are struggling to keep up with simple dinner conversation under the haze of that sweet, sweet Purple Palm Tree Delight.
Because El hasn't suffered enough this morning, the cops show up at her door with a warrant. They arrest her for the great roller skate incident of 1986 and shove her in the back of their cop car, while Mike, Will, and Jonathan watch in stunned panic. Unfortunately for them, Joyce is already on the plane with Murray, about to take off for her \"business trip,\" so there is nothing they can do but sit and wait while El gets questioned by the police. The cops tell El she doesn't seem too upset about what she did to Angela (Elodie Grace Orkin), who apparently has a grade two concussion. When they ask her if she wanted to kill Angela, El replies that she \"doesn't know.\" (Just between us, it's okay if you did, El. She's the worst.) They fingerprint her and stick her in a van to send her off to a juvenile delinquent center. On their way, they are stopped by a federal agent who says they'll take it from here. Owens steps out of the car and greets a surprised El with, \"Hey, kiddo.\"
While headed for an unnamed nebula, Enterprise NX-01 unexpectedly passes an unknown planet with an Earth-like atmosphere and surface. In the mess hall, Cutler and Ethan Novakovich sit down with Cutler enjoying Vulcan food when they see the planet through the windows in surprise. On the bridge, T'Pol designates this type of planet as Minshara-class. Sensor scans of the planet reveal no sign of intelligent lifeforms. Captain Archer asks for scans of any beacons that might indicate possession of the planet, but T'Pol finds none. He then moves ahead to explore the planet. T'Pol quickly reminds him there are other protocols, for example, sending automated probes for six days. She meets dismissal from the crew and Archer instead orders her to plan an away team.
The element of surprise: Omar and I end up talking about geopolitics and how bitcoin adoption by small and historically-oppressed nation states would create opportunities to shift the existing power structure. If wealth migrates towards a country in a permissionless and peer to peer fashion, then economic growth follows. If only our politicians and central bankers listened to the talk.
The element of surprise: Avi recalls the casual setting in which he interviewed David Chaum in London. He suggests that we must be very early if the grandfather of cypherpunks is so unknown to the general public and can become available for interviews so easily. I reply that working in Bitcoin in 2019 is pretty much like getting a job at BBC in the early 1960s: you inevitably meet John Lennon, Mick Jagger, and all the other rock n roll heavyweights years before they become world famous.
The element of surprise: Alena recalls moments from her childhood when she had to learn songs and hymns about the mightiness of Lenin (she was born in Czechoslovakia and caught the final years of communism). This is presented in antithesis with her later ambitions and aspirations, which leave behind collectivist thinking and focus on overcoming individual challenges.
Rainbow Dash is a female Pegasus pony and one of the main characters in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. She maintains the weather and clears the skies in Ponyville. As a huge fan of the Wonderbolts, she becomes a reservist member of the elite flying group in Testing Testing 1, 2, 3 and a full member in Newbie Dash. In Sonic Rainboom, Rarity and Princess Celestia both declare that she is the best flier in all of Equestria. Rainbow Dash has a pet tortoise named Tank, whom she chooses out of Fluttershy's offered animals in the episode May the Best Pet Win! She represents the element of loyalty.
In Friendship is Magic, part 2, Nightmare Moon tests Rainbow Dash's loyalty by creating an illusion of an elite flying team called the Shadowbolts. The Shadowbolts offer Rainbow Dash a position among them, provided that she abandons her friends and their quest to find the Elements of Harmony. Rainbow Dash chooses to stay with her friends. When they confront Nightmare Moon in the Castle of the Two Sisters, Twilight Sparkle declares that Rainbow Dash represents the element of loyalty.
Much to their surprise, their wingless friends have decided to follow them with the aid of Twilight's cloud-walking spell, easing Rainbow's fears. However, Twilight had also given Rarity beautiful butterfly wings, which led her to steal the spotlight. As a result, Rainbow Dash loses her nerve and tries to delay her performance. As the competition draws to a close, however, she decides that she must perform anyway.
Suddenly, the ninja receive a surprise visit from Jay's parents, Ed and Edna. Although the others quickly take a shine to the Blue Ninja's parents, Jay rapidly grows frustrated: Ed and Edna reveal several embarrassing facts about his past, gush over Nya as the perfect match for their son, and ask Jay to visit their junkyard sometime. After several hours of this, Jay ushers his parents back to their junkyard, hastily promising to visit them soon. As the jalopy rolls down the road, Ed sadly tells Edna that their son is growing past the need for parents.
One of the final elements you might have missed near the end of the episode The ending of Bill's final letter to Joel (Pedro Pascal), who he'd made reluctant acquaintances with after Frank and Tess (Anna Torv) had covertly become friends over the radio.
Robin and Kid Flash teleport into the Cave in civvies, and rush to ask Aqualad if he talked to Red Tornado, and he informs them he is arriving now. The Team hurries to greet him outside, raring to go on a mission. Tornado tells them that assigning missions is Batman's responsibility and they'll be tested soon. He suggests they enjoy each other's company in the meantime. Aqualad retorts that the Team is not a social club and Tornado points out that socializing is an important element of team-building so they should keep themselves busy by familiarizing themselves with the Cave. As he walks away, Robin refuses to accept this, so Miss Martian tries to read Tornado's mind to find out what he's really up to. However, she is unable to, as Tornado is a machine and she cannot read the mind of inorganic beings. Kid Flash shamelessly flirts with her, and a disappointed Aqualad acquiesces to tour the \"club house\". Miss Martian volunteers as a tour guide, since she and Superboy have been living there.
Back at the bay, the heroes spar with Mister Twister, but to no avail. Megan contacts them telepathically and lets them in on her plan. A few moments later, Red Tornado arrives and tells the Team to depart, and takes charge. The two androids match their elemental powers against each other, but Mister Twister insists he's far superior and knocks Tornado out. He proceeds to reprogram him, but it turns out that it was actually Megan disguised as Red Tornado, while Wally produced the tornadoes with super speed.
Unlike their progenitors B. rapa (AA) and B. oleracea (CC) that are self-incompatible and mainly used as vegetables, cultivated allotetraploid B. napus (AACC) genotypes are self-compatible and mainly grown for seed harvest. The mating system transition from SI to SC has therefore been a key event which may have contributed to B. napus speciation, increasing its adaptation to the environment and its utility for agriculture. In this study, we found the mating system transition from SI to SC in B. napus was caused by a Helitron-like transposon that inserted in the promoter of BnSP11-1 gene. The inserted Helitron-like transposon was widely distributed in B. napus containing the S haplotype BnS-1. By promoter deletion analysis we found the insertion of the Helitron-like transposon had disrupted the enhancer sequence
