THE STORY OF COALITION FOR BETTER CARE
Founded in 2021
When Rose was a child, her grandparents taught her to value helping and caring for others. One goal throughout her career has been to use her knowledge, experience, and creative talent to help others live fuller and better lives.
Rose’s own direct care work journey started when her mother battled a long illness. She was thrust into a foreign world she was not prepared or for. When she became her mother’s primary family caregiver, Rose had more questions than answers. This lack of resources led Rose to make care work her life’s work.
Since, she has worked as a frontline care worker, and started a care management service. In addition, Rose has conducted research to find solutions to these systemic issues. This collective experience has made her an authority on the subject of care work and has led her to found the Coalition for Better Care.
